What is Tai Chi?

|
The word Tai Chi means the Supreme Ultimate and Chuan relates to the fists, it is a internal system based on bio-electromagnetic Systems of the body the exercises practiced combined with the breath have been developed to express the Tao (middle way) in action.
How do we live in Chaos and not become affected by it?... to be in the middle of adversity and find stillness and calm within it... this is the aim of the Ptah Khi School to find that which has always been present and to become one with your true self and our surroundings.
Understanding the relationship between building health and developing self defence, aids in the development of a meditative calm state, the fear you live with all your life needs to be challenged and reassessed.
The Internal arts will aid you on this journey to become spiritually awakened is a beautiful journey and we at the Ptah Khi school are prepared to support you on this journey.
Through the practice Tai Chi, Chi Gong and especially Nei Gong we observe that they are one, and the body/mind respond in a certain way so you find the roots of these energetic practices found in Taoism from the yin/yang theory to energy cultivation methods, however this has it roots in Vedic and Indus Valley culture Which has a even longer history however this intern leads us to its roots in ancient Kemet. We May not know how far down the rabbit hole goes back to enter the way is the start? It is said the student Asked the Master which way to take to find the way and the Master said walk.
With this combination the body can be made to feel more supple and energized with a renewed sense of self empowerment and confidence.
Tai Chi practice strengthens the body in a gentle way. The slow movements between different postures that are normally held for short periods of time represent physical stimuli, which affect the cardiovascular and muscular systems. It also sharpens and focuses the mind.
Flexibility is increased, balance and posture improve dramatically over time, which alleviates many aches and pains as joints and muscles loosen and poor posture is corrected. The practice of Internal Arts have been proven to reduce stress by altering the brainwave pattern, via relaxation and deep breathing, which in turn regulates the release of stress hormones, neurotransmitters and endorphins.
With regular practice you will gain a deep sense of calm, so Ta this will aid your rest and sleep. Tai chi movements generate increased chi flow or internal and external electromagnetic energies through the body these are generally known as acupuncture meridian lines and through these channels and other energy systems in the body. As a result, you effectively cultivate more chi in several ways. You can unblock it, balance it and open the flow of chi moving within and throughout your energy channels.
Equally, increasing the flow of fluids within your body also increases the flow of chi, as they are inextricably linked. The refinement of sitting, standing and moving breathing postures gives you the ability to unlock the true powers of the mind and body.
This is key to producing a Being relaxed and calm and one with the world and the universe.
