This morning was our first class in the park to bring in the spring equinox energy. However the clouds covered the sky and the wind felt penetrating but we all managed to get on with it, we'll done to all who attended.
Remember this is a time to do spring cleaning in the home and on ourself.
Have a joyful spring
On Friday 20th March 2015, a total solar eclipse will occur across the far Northern regions of Europe and the Artic. The longest duration of totality for this eclipse will be 2 minutes and 46 seconds as viewed off the coast of the Faroe Islands. This will mark the last total solar eclipse in Europe for over a decade. The next not being until August 12, 2026. Also the strongest geomagnetic storm of the current solar cycle is underway now.
From London, the eclipse will not reach total phase but will be visible as a partial solar eclipse.
Below are the times of the event
Partial Eclipse Begins:08:25 GMT
Maximum Eclipse:09:31 GMT
Partial Eclipse Ends:10:41 GMT
On March 20 – same date as the 2015 March equinox – the moon turns new only 14 hours after reaching lunar perigee – moon’s closest point to Earth in its orbit. Thus this moon is a supermoon – at the new phase – not visible in our sky, but having a larger-than-average effect on Earth’s oceans. Plus this new supermoon swings right in front of the equinox sun on March 20, so that the moon’s shadow falls on parts of Earth.
During a partial eclipse it will still be daylight, and while you are on your way to work or school you probably will not notice any difference in the lighting conditions. However, if you want to see the eclipse in progress, there are ways to observe it safely. Remember, it is very dangerous to look directly at the Sun with your eyes or through a telescope or binoculars – should you do so, you will risk permanent blindness.
NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITHOUT DEDICATED SOLAR VIEWING EQUIPMENT AND REMEMBER TO HAVE POSITIVE THROUGHTS during this time either have a visualization, mediate or practice your chi gong. Please try not to have any negative interactions with the world during this period.
