During practicing the Art of standing like a tree, we train certain muscles in the body to maintain or bodies alignment. The image above show a student standing before any internal adjustments in a natural posture; the image next to shows the students adjustments to there internal core muscles, hip flexors and abdominal muscles. These adjustments create a centred feeling, remember you are contracting you superficial and deep front line to prevent yourself from falling backwards.
